If you’re like me, you probably spent Sunday night at church, where you’re sure to get an opportunity to spend some time with your family. It’s a great time to cleanse and reconnect with family, and it’s also a great time to be reminded of all the fun and excitement that’s ahead. But there’s also the chance to sit back and reflect on the past and the future.

This is what Advent means to us at the church we go to, and it’s what Advent means to the people that we meet. So this weekend we went to another church that’s called the Church of our Holy Spirit. We attended services at the church but we also got a chance to talk to a few of the people who have joined the church over the past several years (in the past 4+ years).

The first thing we all talked about was how awesome the new church was, and how much we all miss it. Everyone here has been a member of this church for the past few years and they are really glad to see us come here. But we also talked about how different it was when we were here years ago, and how that has changed since then.

And yes, it’s hard to imagine that the new church at the end of each year will have more members than the last time we’ve been here. Even if we were here in 2014, who knew we were all so desperate to get to the end of this year? We were all in it for the very last time. Everyone’s trying to make the most of it. We’ve all been here for so long that we know nothing about it.

We actually had a good time watching the new video and talking about it with the video crew over on the forums. Its probably going to make the weekend more fun than a few hours we had in the office.

The first bit of footage we saw is the intro music, which I can’t help but think was a touch too much. I mean, the whole thing sounded like a slow-motion funeral for the game. Maybe its just me, but I’d rather hear the music at a funeral. But the rest of the rest is good.

Deathloop is a time-looping stealth game that is played in a linear fashion. Each player controls a different character who is one “vanguard.” These characters are essentially your avatar in the game, and you have to take them down in seven different ways. You are given a number, and after you’ve taken out your first Vanguard you have to complete the mission, then take out the next one.

I just couldn’t resist the music. Like it’s supposed to be on a funeral. I’ve read that the game’s soundtrack is actually composed by the band Boredoms. There’s also a video of Deathloop’s first scene that plays in a sound-loop. Deathloop is a game that shows very clearly the differences between a time-looping game and a traditional stealth game.

Deathloop is also a story-driven game, so that means you have to figure out how things happened and figure out how to take out the Visionaries in the end. The most common methods of doing this involve finding the Visionaries and finding out who they are, and figuring out how to take out them. This also means figuring out how to take out all eight Visionaries, which is a lot of work.
